ALL ABOOOOORD! It’s spooky time and we’ve been anxiously waiting to share our Hadestown design with all you lyres and players! It features the Big Bad (Hades) and first lady (Persephone) of the upside-down decked out for the fanciest of train rides to the lowliest of places. Far be it from us to think this design will bring the world back to life but we’re not gonna rule that out just yet little songbirds. Get yours and raise a cup to celebrate this 2019 Tony award winner and we’ll all be Livin’ It Up on Top!
Design Notes: this illustration is created in the classic 4-color trading card with the gritty influence of the New Orleans wrought iron, the two gods mirroring each other and surrounded by an infinity symbol on its side. Persephone is surrounded by woods and vines (complete with spilling wine glass) , and Hades with his wall and his coal-fuled fire, complete with a little canary! These were drawn with references to Amber Gray and Patrick Page, LORD AND LADY of the underground!
